Terms of Service

These terms are being reviewed by a solicitor, particularly the liability section. Wording may be refined once that review is complete — this page will be updated in place if so.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using RelicFolio (relicfolio.com), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

2. What RelicFolio is

RelicFolio is a personal trading card cataloguing tool. It lets you photograph and record your own card collection, track sets, and — for cards you haven’t photographed — reference a shared catalogue of card data drawn from your own and other users’ contributions and, currently, public reference sources such as Scryfall (see the Privacy Policy for details; this may change).

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person — don’t share credentials.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload. By uploading, you grant RelicFolio a licence to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the service (e.g. showing it on your collection page, or on your public profile if you choose to make it public). You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that doing so doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

5. Catalogue submissions and moderation

Contributions to the shared catalogue (new cards, sets, or corrections) may be reviewed before becoming visible to other users. We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any catalogue submission or user content at our discretion, including content that’s inaccurate, infringing, or inappropriate.

6. Public vs. private content

Content you mark private is visible only to you. Content you mark public — including public profile pages, public sets, and public collections — is visible to anyone, including people without a RelicFolio account. You’re responsible for choosing the right visibility setting for what you upload.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive content;
• harass or impersonate other users;
• attempt to scrape, bulk-export, or reverse-engineer the catalogue data; or
• interfere with the operation or security of the service.

8. Intellectual property

The RelicFolio name, logo, and software are owned by RelicFolio. Card names, artwork, and trademarks that appear in the catalogue belong to their original rights holders (e.g. game publishers) and are used here for personal cataloguing/reference purposes only — RelicFolio does not claim ownership of third-party card artwork or trademarks.

9. Marketplace / sale features

RelicFolio does not currently support buying, selling, or trading cards through the platform. If that changes, these terms will be updated to cover it before the feature is made available.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your own account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

11. Disclaimer

RelicFolio is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee the accuracy of catalogue data (including estimated values, if shown), and we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, RelicFolio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
